Halloween

Don't worry, you aren't looking at an old calendar, Halloween is still almost 2 months away.

After spending three years in Germany, it's hard to get out of the mindset that I don't have to order things 2 months in advance to get here. Heck, I don't even have to order anything, there is a plethora of stores at my disposal.

This time of year, it's hard to get a break, between Halloween, twins birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas and a possibly early homecoming (fingers crossed!), my time is run quite thin so I try to plan ahead.

Since Halloween is up first, I ordered the twins Halloween costumes this month. I have always wanted them to wear something different, something no one else will wear.

Last year, they were garden gnomes...

And the first year, they were Thing 1 and Thing 2...
My DIY costumes did not turn out as planned that year!

I knew that eventually they would start to form an opinion of their own, I just didn't realize it would be at the age of 2.

They have really been into kitty cats, puppas (dogs) and dinosaurs. I gave them each the option and Jaxon said he wanted to be a puppa so we set off to find a puppa costume. I showed him several and I was really amazed when he would tell me no. He did finally tell me yes on one:

You can find it on Amazon here
Then, I set off to find Hayley's special requested, pink kitty costume. We found one she liked on Amazon but at almost $30, I couldn't stomach it for something she might wear once, if we're lucky. I was really starting to get disappointed. I kept showing her different pink kitty costumes and she kept saying no to every one of them.

I put in a search and actually found it for $7 here.

So, as usual, Princess Hayley will get what she wants!

What are you guys doing for Halloween this year? Any great costume ideas?
