A few days ago, we had some rain.
Ok. We had a lot of rain.
For days.
And for two toddlers who love to play outside, they were tired of being cooped up.
I decided to open the back door and tell them to go play if they wanted to, in the rain.
Hayley told me she wanted her boots on so she could jump in muddy puddles and Jaxon, my safety guy, decided to just sit in my lap and watch.
So, Jaxon and I, armed with my camera, hung out on the dining room floor while we watched Miss Hayley have a blast!
Pure happiness.

Conversation with Hayley and Nanny
Nanny is my grandma, Hayley's great grandma. We went to their house this weekend to celebrate my sisters 19th birthday.
Nanny: Hayley, I think you should take a nap.
Hayley: Shut. Up.
Me: Mortified.
Needless to say, we are in the stage where I really need to start watching my mouth.

Sharing is Caring
I taught the kids the word share so they would share their toys.
Hayley just gave me a lesson on sharing. I was making breakfast for myself.
Hayley: Mine.
Me: No, mommy's food.
Hayley: SHARE!
So guess who is getting half of my breakfast.

Flowers
When
your daughter brings you a weed and tells you it's a flower, you take
that flower, tell her it's the most beautiful flower you have ever seen,
sniff it, tell her it smells so good, and tell her she is the sweetest
girl ever.
Then you take those "flowers" and proudly display them on your desk.
