The night before my husband deployed in July, we decided to do pre-deployment photos. They were incredibly last minute, we hadn't picked out matching outfits (so we definitely clash), my hair is a hot mess, but we were together and it was the perfect way to spend the last few hours together. We were able to just goof off and have a great time.
After my husband left the next day, I came home and edited the photos quickly before I had to run off to shoot a wedding. I never really liked them but I was content with having them. If something were to, God forbid, happen to Mat, I had these photos to cherish forever, knowing that this shows how we spent our last few hours together.
I finally decided I didn't like them and wanted to re-edit them. I've been thinking about doing it for while and I finally got around to it yesterday. I finished them up this morning and I am so in love. I loved reliving that night, remember how much love there was, and how happy we all were even though we knew what was happening in less than 12 hours.
I am so in love with these new edits, not that the other ones were bad, I just think that I wasn't in the right mindset when I edited them the first time.
Those are precious. You can see how much love there is in your family! I love your editing too, it looks great.
